How Bad Do You Want It? (Wellness Wednesday)

Good health.  Weight Loss.  Feeling Better.  Remission.  How bad do you want it?

Every Wednesday I make a post sharing wellness tips that have helped me to lose 130lbs and get myself into remission.  Here are some tips to get you started on your path to recovery.

Note:  I got the Fitbit One because it will also record your sleep patterns, so if you have narcolepsy this can come in handy by linking how you feel to your sleep patterns.  It can also help with diagnostics if you have a proactive or progressive type of doctor.

I can not stress enough how important this was in my recovery and in my continued health!! » Read more..

Energetic Importance of Blessing Your Food (Soulystic Sunday)

Have you ever wondered why grandma’s cooking always tastes so good?  I’ve always felt that it’s because it has that one secret ingredient:  Love.

In fact, the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto demonstrates that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music all affect the molecular structure of water.  And did you know?  That the mature human body is comprised of over 70-80% water?

Screen Shot 2014-07-22 at 6.37.14 PM

It begs the question:  If thoughts, words and ideas can do that to water… what kind of impact do they have on our food or our body?

Here I discuss the energetic importance of blessing our food (and all things that go into our body) and demonstrates a powerful blessing technique. » Read more..

Making Green Smoothies (Wellness Wednesday)

Today is Wellness Wednesday! Each Wednesday I make a post related to wellness, healing naturally, and to start sharing things that I did to support my body in healing itself naturally. Today, I share a glimpse into my kitchen while making a green smoothie.

Green smoothies are, like, healthy fast food.  Packed with nutrient-dense ingredients, it’s a way to make a quick breakfast with easy cleanup!  Here’s a quick review of the key components I use in my green smoothies, and how I make them taste more sweet without using loads of sweeteners and fruit.  Be creative and add what ever you like, just make sure to rotate your greens.  All greens have a little bit of ‘poison’ or alkaloid in them and when we eat too much of the same green, we will start to get an aversion to that green due to the build up of that particular alkaloid.

And here’s how simple cleanup of a Vita-mix can be:

How Divine Communicates With Us…

I was inspired to make this video today after I found this feather on my morning walk.  This video describes ways that Divine (Spirit, the Universe, your Higher Self, the Angels, Christ, Krishna, or whomever your divine may be) communicates with us and some ways to decipher the meaning of these message(s):

Here are a couple of websites I found describing the spiritual meaning of the Blue Jay nicely.  They were websites returned by searching for “Bluejay Spiritual Meaning”.

My Transformation 2013-2014, A Pictorial Review

“I was emotionally messed up and, truth is, I hated myself….”

I was nominated by a few people on Facebook to share some pictures of me that make me feel beautiful.  I’m posting them here, because I want to also share why they make me feel beautiful, in hopes of inspiring others: 1.  I was very, very sick… and also very wounded inside.  I was emotionally messed up and, truth is, I hated myself.  I had so many » Read more..

Why I Refuse to Share…

I inevitably come across social media posts with reckless images of someone abusing an animal or child, urging me to share the content.  For the love of humanity, I refuse to share.  Below are some of my reasons why, and a glimpse into what I do instead.  Read on to discover the importance of your own vibration and in joining me in this practice.

Everything in the Universe moves and vibrates.  That includes us.  The thoughts we have (and hold) have an immediate impact on our vibration and, much like a ripple in a lake, our vibration influences our own environment; every life we touch; and the world at large*.

HippieThoughts

So, when I am asked to share these images and horrible stories, I simply refuse, because:

A.  I think about how I FEEL when I see these images.  That feeling is something I am vibrating out to the Universe.  What I vibrate at impacts my life and every life I touch.  Which raises a couple of questions:

  1. Why would I want to hold that vibration (and therefore attract similar vibrations back toward me)?
  2. Why would I want to add that vibration to the Universe, therefore impacting every life in it?

B.  Once we see the image, it’s in our mind and heart.  Our experiences, thoughts, and environmental input are not just in the head, they are also experienced in the body.  Every image you see; every book you read; every movie you watch, every experience you have, every trauma you experience – they are all stored in this mind-body system.  This includes the energy bodies, and it includes That which is connected to All That Is.  So, one must ask ones Self, “Why would I want to proliferate this image (and associated feelings) into my own body?  Or that of others?  Or out into the All That Is?”

C.  The All That Is holds the Cosmic Web of Consciousness; every thought that exists and has ever existed.  Not just your thoughts and experiences, but that of every other person who is currently living or has ever lived.  The more negativity we proliferate into the Cosmic Web of Consciousness, the more negativity we build up in our current societies and all generations of the future.  What’s more, this negativity must eventually have an outlet.  The same as people are driven to random acts of kindness, susceptible ones are also driven to random acts of violence (such as the 2012 Auorora ‘Batman shooting’ or the terrorist acts of the twin towers).  They are all acts, driven by what is stored in the All That Is.  Better to proliferate love, is it not?

D.  Most people’s initial reaction to something like this, is to wish the same harm upon the perpetrator, thereby proliferating even a bigger storm of negativity and impure thoughts back out into the All That Is.  As we can see in paragraph C, this has monumental impacts upon the entire world now and in the future.  Hate breeds hate.

E.  Once I have seen an image like this, it is very difficult to keep it from popping into my consciousness over and over again.  For most folks, every time the image pops into their consciousness, it will create a holding pattern of keeping them in that lower vibration and bringing up Screen Shot 2014-07-04 at 4.52.16 PMmore and more negative thoughts.  Again, these thoughts and feelings get proliferated out into the All That Is and, eventually, those thoughts & feelings must have an outlet.  Why would we do this to our Brothers and Sisters?  Or to ourselves?

So, when I see a post like this on social media, instead of proliferating the negativity and opening the door to my Brothers and Sisters to have the images burned into their consciousness, I pray instead.  I pray and ask God to bless the perpetrator and the victim, and I pray for the liberation of the souls of both.  Then, I post something positive on my own wall; be it a post of gratitude, or a funny.  I hope you will join me in this practice of holding and proliferating a positive vibration, for the Greater Good.

Blessings, Love and Light to you!

In Love and Gratitude,

Jodi

*Studies have been performed, having a monk or a group of people meditate (holding a higher vibration) to see if it could reduce crime rates in the area.  Preliminary statistics from one study (published in the New York Times) reported that violent crime dropped 23.6 percent in the first four weeks.

Losing Love

God brings people into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Through every relationship, we are being taught, molded and formed into who God has designed us to be. Whose to say these losses aren’t necessary in order to mold and form us into the person our Special One is going to recognize?

If we learned something – anything – from a lost relationship, then it wasn’t all for naught. Sometimes, that ‘reason’, or lesson, is for us to find our own self worth and value; to treat ourself with respect and honor, by walking away from those that treat us wrong.  If you’re too busy wasting time on someone that is treating you wrong, you won’t ever be available for the One that will treat you right!

Maybe you’re not losing love.  Maybe you are gaining new beginnings!  Trust that the Universe has your right where you are supposed to be; not a second sooner or later.  Someday, you’re going to look back on this time and be grateful for this loss (and gain).

Here’s a T-shirt I saw in the mall in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India:

“SINGLE.  God is looking at you right now saying, “I’m saving this one for someone special”

Divine Manifestation – In My Room!

It’s just amazing to see how the divine manifests in our life.  I’m in a hotel in Chennai, feeling a bit nervous as I prepare for my flight home to the United States (after having been gone to India for a year).  I’ve been in this room for two days, yet it wasn’t until just this morning that I noticed my divine showing up on the shelf in the room. Do you see it?  On the bottom left side of the shelf below the television?

IMG 3654

Here it is, close up.  How does one explain that?!

IMG 3643

If you haven’t read my post about God’s Love Bug, it explains a little more about the hearts manifesting in our lives.  You can read about it here. The divine manifesting in my room today is just another confirmation to me that I am not alone; that God is right there with me, supporting me, carrying me, and going before me.  I love how the divine manifests in this way in the moments when I seemingly need this reminder the most.  Thank you, God.

Someone Else’s Secrets

I had the most amazing experience this morning!  I was saying goodbye to a friend and letting her out of my apartment complex. Here is a picture of the cabinet in our stairwell.  As you can see, this cabinet contains mostly junk.  Boxes, empty supplement containers, and yes, those are empty (Surf) laundry detergent boxes.  I’m not sure why my landlord stores this stuff here but many things (that we Westerners take for granted) come in quite handy in a third world country.  You’d be surprised at how many ways you can use an empty laundry box!

IMG 3611

Now, I have walked past this cabinet hundreds of times, but this morning I got the intuition that I was supposed to retrieve something in it (for what, I had no idea).  So I walked to it, opened the cabinet and peaked inside – still not sure what I was there for.  I felt guided to the second shelf down, on the left.  A book.  See it?

IMG 3612

I knew, immediately upon seeing it, that the book was ‘it’ (why I was being guided to the cabinet).  Curious about the title and topic, I reached into the cabinet, but as soon as I felt the textured surface, I realized that this was no ordinary book.

IMG 3613

As I opened the book to a random page, I saw hand-writing.  This was someone’s journal.  My eyes fell to someone else’s secrets.  Secrets about meeting a man.  Immediately I knew that these words were not written for the eyes of others to see.  It felt so private and, quite frankly, reading it felt like a violation.  I thought to myself what a shame it is that this journal is sitting here on this shelf, available to the eyes of the public, because who ever it belongs to probably wouldn’t want others reading their private writings.

So I closed the book and began to wonder why I was guided to it and what am I to do with it?!  It felt wrong to place it back on the shelf for world access.  Then, I felt what I can only describe as an impression… and suddenly, I knew whose journal it was.  Odd.  Usually, I get what I call ‘downloads’ from my divine or the Universe. This was different.  It was more like an impression and it wasn’t coming from ‘out there’.  It was coming from the object itself.

What’s interesting is that I recently read about this phenomena!  It’s as if reading about it opened me to recognize the experience for what it is; psychometry (also known as psychoscopy or token-object reading).  Psychometry is known as a form of extra-sensory perception characterized by the ability to make relevant associations from an object of unknown history by making physical contact with that object.

So here I was, standing here with this sacred journal in my hands.  I didn’t have any solid confirmation (in this realm at least) of whose journal this was, but I took my chances and contacted the owner anyway.   I snapped a picture of the journal and sent it to her, asking if she was missing her journal:

IMG 3622

After further conversation, she revealed that she didn’t even know it was missing.  So that explains (partly) why I was guided to the cabinet; to act as a channel to return her book.  Her divine is watching over her.  There’s something in that book she is meant to know or see or remember and I guess the divine knew I would deliver it safely, while maintaining it’s sacredness (by not reading it).

At the same time, the divine is also confirming to me (again) that I am on the right path, in terms of psychic development and opening myself as a channel and intuitive to serve humanity.  What a blessing.  Thank you, God.

Introducing Boogie

The other day I was in a very meditative, almost trance-like state.  Suddenly, I audibly heard a voice (as if he were in the same room, right in front of me).  It was a playful, fun-spirited, child-like voice.  In a teasing kind of tone he said, “I’m boogie!  You can hear me, but you can not see me!”, followed by a giggle.  The feel of Boogie was so playful, I couldn’t help but literally laugh out loud!  My boyfriend was next to me and asked me what I was laughing at.  I shook my head and didn’t reply.

I wasn’t scared, because I had experienced something like this before, the day after my grandma died.  That day, I was in a similar state on the couch when I audibly heard her calling my name, “Jodi.. Jodi..”, as if she was trying to awaken me.  I opened my eyes, sooo excited at the prospect that her death was just a bad dream and she was really alive!!  I quickly sat up with excitement… only to realize.. the house was visually empty.  I felt her, though.  I knew she was there in spirit.  That was the last time I audibly heard my grandmother’s voice.

AngelMerkabaNot sure what to do next, I simply asked Boogie to reveal himself to me and show me what he looks like.  Soon, in my mind’s eye, I got an image of a small angel.  This surprised me because usually the angels I see and work with are at least human sized or very large.  Then Boogie showed me the number eight.  I’m still not sure what the number eight means; I think he was trying to tell me he is 8 years old.  After that, I was interrupted and came out of the state I was in.

At first, I wasn’t sure why Boogie was here, but I got the feeling that Boogie has been with me for a very, very long time and has already been working with me for most of my life.  Then I remembered that a few days prior to this I had set the intention to be shown ONE of my angels, whom I work with that I can communicate with intimately.  Boogie revealed himself to me and I have felt his Presence every since!

Still wanting confirmation from the Universe, I asked my divine to return the word ‘boogie’ to me within the next three days if Boogie is of 100% pure divine light and if Boogie is the one I’ve been asking about.  I left it at that and hadn’t given it another thought!

Boogie.  It’s not a common word in today’s vocabulary.  Should I have been surprised when, less than 48 hours later, I came across this post on Facebook, made by a woman with the exact same name as mine (Jodi)?  Boom!  Coincidence?  I think not!

India: The One Moment That Left the Biggest Impression

I’m getting butterflies in my belly as I order supplies and sort my stuff to pack before heading back to the United States of America soon!!!  I haven’t seen my family in a year.  This is the longest I’ve been away from my baby girl and I’m feeling a wave of emotions flow through me.  Living in a third-world country for the past year has really changed my entire perspective on everything.

There have been a lot of moments that have impressed upon me; moments of amazement at how folks here in India live on a daily basis.  I’ve seen houses literally made of mud with grass roofs.  I’ve seen people here washing clothes by hand and beating them on cement.  I’ve seen women here carrying loads on the top of their heads that most women in my country couldn’t carry with two hands.  Driving past fields in the early morning and watching the farmers honor their animal, giving it an early morning bath by hand.  But, aside from the many spiritual blessings I have received int his country, the moment that has left the biggest impression on me is when I was in Tirruvanamalia with my friend, Caz.

We had stopped at a shop to get some fruit and water for morning.  An elderly, emaciated woman approached us.  Most of her teeth were missing and her clothes were dull and tattered.  She motioned to ask for money.  My friend, not having any cash (or food) on her, handed this woman all she had to offer in that moment; a half-used bottle of warm water.  I was so shocked at what I saw next.  If some stranger came up to me in my home town asking for money and I handed him a half-used up bottle of warm water that I’d been carrying around and drinking from all day (and probably back-washed my lunch into), that stranger would look at me like I was from Pluto.  But this woman?  I’ve never seen anything like it.  Her face lit up like she was three years old on Christmas morning!  She graciously accepted the bottle and was visibly elated!

You see, to this woman, it wasn’t just a bottle of water.  That old, thin plastic bottle?  It was a prize in and of itself.  It was tool. She could use it to transport water or soap.  She could use it to bathe with.  She could use it to store things.  It was a prized possession, not a common house hold item.  Seeing someone so full of gratitude for a used up, warm bottle of water?  This one moment, it was just a few seconds; a flicker of a moment in time.. but it changed my life forever.  It made me realize all of the little things in every single day that I have to be grateful for in this life.  It made me think, what if I were so poor, that a used up, warm bottle of water was like gold to me?

Today, I get down on my knees and humbly bow down to my divine, filled with so much gratitude that tears trace tracks on my cheeks, and give thanks for this experience, and for the realization of all the things big and small, that I have to be grateful for every single hour of every single day that I am alive on this Earth.  Thank you, God.

Cool Breezes and Bananas

Today I’m grateful for the cool breeze and sunshine as I laid out on the terrace; oh, and bananas. Yes. Bananas.

As I sat down to eat my fruit salad I realized is forgotten to put a banana in it. I went back to get a banana, thank God, because while I was In the kitchen I realized I had left the gas stove running.

Thank you, God.

What about you? What are you grateful for today?

Searching for Gratitude

Today, I’m grateful that I can find the silver lining in this cloud, even though I feel so down in the dumps right now… after three months of being away, I returned to my (shared) apartment in Karnataka only to find some my kitchen belongs (which are clearly marked with my name) either gone, dipped into, or completely used up.  Depressing.

So.. as I sit here feeling grouchy and frustrated at the lack of morals in this world; with my head aching, trying to tune out the sound of the workers demolishing the building next door and the constant onslaught of vehicles honking (really, there is not even a two-second moment of silence on this street corner, except maybe between 2AM-5AM), a Force inside gently nudges me to reach deep and find something, anything(!) for which to be grateful.

“Can’t I just bask in my grouchiness?”, I asked this Force.

The response I got was that no matter how bad we think we’ve got it, there is always someone worse than us.  Suddenly, a picture flashed in my mind of the deformed man on the beach in Kerala, whose body was stuck in a sort of permanent squatting position.  Yet he still got up every single day, got dressed, and was out on that beach making a living.  He didn’t get the choice to walk.  He had to hobble, much like a gorilla, using his arms as legs.  And even though he has long legs, he will never get his height measured in any taller than the height of his squat – about two and a half to three feet.  Suddenly, a surge of gratitude pulsed through me and I began to feel grateful that I have legs and they work and I can stretch them out and run and walk and skip.

“Thank you”, I told the Force, “Do it again!  Show me another.”

Soon, another image flashed in my mind, of the man that would come to our table each day at the beach in Kerala, emaciated, wrinkled and dressed in rags.  This man didn’t speak English but still, he spoke my language.  He spoke with his eyes.  He spoke with his heart.  He never said the word, “Please”, but his eyes said everything I needed to ‘hear’ (I’m literally swallowing back tears as I type this right now).  And each day, I would pull ten or twenty rupees out of my pocket and place it gently in his hand.  He also never spoke the word, “Thank you”, but every day after I gave him the money, he would squeeze it gently, still looking me in the eyes with gratitude, tap his hand to his heart, then to his forehead, and smile.  Although half his teeth were missing, it’s one of the most beautiful smiles I’ve ever seen.  This one scene alone provided so much to be grateful for, I could spend a whole day writing about it.

Through these gifts I’ve been shown, I was able to step back into the Present Moment and find the silver lining in this cloud.  Today, I am grateful for the morals and values and standards that my parents instilled in me.  I’m so grateful for the parents I was blessed with in this lifetime.  I’m grateful that, through my upbringing and God’s Grace, I have the gift of being sensitive to the needs of others.  I’m grateful that, although I’m sleeping with a bandana over my face so as not to inhale the vehicle fumes and demolition dust (without the windows open it would likely be unbearably hot in my apartment), I do have a roof over my head and food on the table – and not just any food – but good, wholesome vegetables and fruits.  I’m grateful that I am well enough now to cook that food, for I can remember a time when I was so sick that I didn’t have the strength and energy to cook a meal, let alone eat it.  And I am incredibly grateful for the man in my life who, despite my grouchiness, has graciously shown me more patience than I may deserve at times.  He is one of the strongest men I know, mentally and emotionally.  I don’t think God could’ve picked a better man for me.  Truly.

If you’re ever stuck where you can’t think of anything to be grateful for, you could always close your eyes, take a few steady, deep breaths; ask your divine to connect with you or come into your heart and, once you feel a sense of peace or stillness come over you, ask your divine to show you what you have to be grateful for in this moment.

So?  What about you?  What are you grateful for today?

Love and Blessings to you!

How to Manifest the Perfect Man (or Woman)

I am the world’s luckiest woman. My Love takes such good care of me. I am currently in an Ayurvedic clinic in India where most of the staff here do not speak very good English.  My Love (an Indian Native) generally handles the communication with the staff.  He recently left on a business trip, and before he left, he fetched a supply of water to last me until he returns, he told the nurses to take care of and watch over me while he is gone, and he pre-arranged for my breakfast to be delivered every morning (he takes care of that when he is here).  He made sure I have everything I need and the day he left, he told me how beautiful I am, AND he gave me the most amazing massage after I told him my muscles were hurting. Wow.  God must really love me, to bless me with such an amazing guy. Truly. So grateful. Thank you, God. He truly is exceptional. I’ve never met anyone like him. Next to God, he is my total best friend.

Listen, I haven’t always been so lucky in love.  I’ve had my fair share of losers.  (Okay.  That’s probably an understatement lol).  So, how did I end up with such a phenomenal guy?  Well, in New Age speak, I ‘manifested’ him.  In old school talk, I prayed for him and my ‘prayers were answered’.  Which ever verbiage works for you, go with it!

You see, through the years, I’ve said many prayers for that right guy, and I had made many a list of exactly what I wanted in a man.  Men would come into my life that would actually possess these very qualities I was hoping for, yet the relationships just didn’t work.  So, what did I do different this time?  It can be summed up into two words:  Allow and Surrender.  This time, I said my prayer and I surrendered the rest to the Universe, or my divine.  After that, I just forgot about it and went on with life, with the faith that God would bring the right man into my life at precisely the right time for us both.

My prayer was also different.  I didn’t ask for a man that has any specific quality, like being kind and caring and loving.  I didn’t ask for a man that looked a certain way or had financial stability.  I had already learned that asking for these things didn’t work.  So this time, I simply surrendered it to my divine and asked for a man with pure intentions, the most beautiful heart; whom I have things in common with; who would have my best interest at heart and would be the perfect match for me Right Now.  Then I left the rest up to God.

I didn’t stipulate that it needed to last forever either.  Instead, I realized that God knows exactly what I need in my life right now and whether or not it is a relationship that’s here for a reason, a season, or a lifetime?  Well, that’s really not my business until or unless it’s revealed to me.  In other words, I gave up my crystal ball and simply left it all up to God.

It was shortly after that prayer that Terrance showed up in my life.  I’m sure glad I left all the little details up to God, because Terrance has far exceeded all of my expectations of how a man could enrich my life.  Had I tried to inject what I wanted into that prayer, I don’t think I would have someone as amazing as Terrance because, in my consciousness at that time in my life, I didn’t even realize men like Terrance existed outside of a fairytale.  Thank GOD I didn’t limit myself!!

My point?  Don’t pray for a man or woman that will do this or that for you.  Don’t pray for a man or woman that looks a certain way.  Don’t pray for a man or woman that has this quality or that quality.  Don’t pray for a relationship that will last forever.  Instead, pray for a man or woman that has pure intentions and a heart of gold.  Pray for the man or woman that you can have fun with, who will make you feel like a goddess (or a stud), who understands the value of the human spirit and will have your best interest at heart.  And then once you’ve said that prayer, surrender to the Current Moment; to Right Now, knowing that God or the Universe will deliver exactly who you need at exactly the precise timing that you need him or her – not a millisecond sooner or later.

Have faith, that if you are still single, there is a reason for that.  And if you are tired of being alone, whose to say God isn’t spending this time forming and shaping and molding you into the person your ‘One’ is going to recognize and, if you met a minute too soon, maybe s/he wouldn’t recognize you at all?

Have faith, that if you lost a love, it wasn’t yours to keep.  Whose to say God didn’t bring that person into your life to mold and form you into the person you are meant to be; the person your ‘One’ will be able to recognize?  Perhaps the last love that you lost was brought into your life simply as a mirror to teach you about yourself.  If you learned anything valuable or had any valuable experience from it, then there’s a lot to be grateful for… many spend a lifetime alone without ever experiencing romantic love at all.  Many don’t even know what it feels like to know that someone’s got your back.  If you do, get own on your knees and thank God for that.

Once you say your prayer, LET IT GO, with the FAITH that your divine is going to bring that right person at precisely the right time for you both and not a second sooner or later.  If you’re constantly thinking about wanting a man or the fact that you don’t have a man (or woman), then guess what?  That’s what you’re vibrating out to the Universe, and if you’re vibrating that out to the Universe, then that is what you are creating.  So, instead, say your prayer and release it into the Universe (hand it over to God) and then surrender to God’s will in your life.  In the meantime, move foreword spending the next however-long-it-takes working on YOU and finding out what makes YOU happy because by doing that, you are already getting one step closer to the love you deserve (and the love your One deserves to receive).

Everything happens in it’s own time.  If it’s not happening, it’s not time yet.  God doesn’t always give us what we want.  God gives us what we WOULD want if we could see what God can see and if we knew what God knows.

The Light and Love of God

  • I am the Light and Love of God

It’s interesting… Because, up to this point, during my treatments at the Ayurvedic hospital, I’ve been chanting in my mind, “The Light & Love of God has cured me”. Then yesterday while I was chanting that I realized… If I’m still hanging on to the thought or vibration of needing to be cured, then that’s what I’m creating every single day a version of me that still needs to be cured. I know I was saying has cured me.. but the truth is, if I were cured, I wouldn’t be thinking about being cured at all, I would just be living my life. So, I taught my doggy a new trick!

The next day, I changed my chant. At first, I started out with, “I am love”… and then I thought, “Why am I limiting myself by changing this to simply that I am love? What am I really?” Before, I was saying that the light of love of God has cured me, but then I realized that actually, I AM the light and love of God and when I vibrate THAT, then there is no such thing as anything that needs to be cured, because the light and love of God is pure and whole, just as it is.

So that became my new mantra during my sessions: “I am the Light and Love of God”. And that, my friends, is when I started to see some real change (okay, okay, there were some other energy techniques I employed that I feel played a role as well, but that’s for another day ha ha).

In what ways may your limiting beliefs be limiting your progress?

Love and Blessings to you <3

My Beautiful Soul Sister

Today, I am grateful for the nurse at the Ayurvedic hospital I’m in. She’s such a doll. Day before yesterday, as she was braiding my hair and prepping me for treatment, she said, “ma’am?”

“Yes?”, I asked

Then, in this playful, giddy voice, she said, “I love you!”

All I could do was burst out laughing!  I wasn’t quite sure I heard her right.

“You love me?”, I asked?

“Yes”, she said, looking up with the nature of a three year old.

“Aw!  I love you too!”

In that moment, I was reminded of how easily we can influence someone’s life with our words, our thoughts, our actions.  Her simple act of kindness brought me so much internal joy that I literally burst into laughter.  Thing is, this girl really doesn’t know me… we have small conversations of broken English each day, so how could she possibly have come to love me?  What if the divine was expressing through her, toward the divine that expresses through me.

So then I wondered to myself, what if everyone in the world could be like this?  What if the whole world could just express their feelings without reservation or fear of someone’s reaction?  How many times have you walked past someone and wanted to say, “I like your dress!” or, “You’re beautiful”, but never did, for fear of a negative reaction or fear of someone thinking you are weird?  How many explosions of joy could you have instigated, had you the courage to allow the divine to express through you in that moment?

So today, I am grateful for my nurse, my beautiful soul sister at this hospital, and also for the lessons in love she has given me.  In honor of that, today I am going to make it a point to allow the divine to express through me by giving at least one person a compliment.

How about you?  What are you grateful for today?  Here’s the trick.. you can’t list anything you’ve already used in yesterday’s post!

Things I Learned From Kelani River, Sri Lanka

Today I went white water rafting on Kelani River (pronounced KELL-uh-nee) in Sri Lanka. Here are some things I learned:

1. White water rafting is a freaking BLAST!!

2. It’s pointless to wear makeup if going white water rafting lol.

3. Even when you think you’re a badass, Mother Nature will always have one up on you, and then some!

4. Wear tennis shoe style shoes, not flip-flops – unless you want to lose your shoes. Or, do like I did and just go barefoot lol.

5. Never start a splash fight of the oars when you are one girl in a boat with three guys – especially when you’re in the middle of the boat and surrounded!

6. Laughter truly IS the best medicine.

7. Bring a change of clothes when going white water rafting. And if you don’t, then at least wear clothes that dry fast (thank you prAna)!

8. I love 80s music! They play a lot of it here in Sri Lanka.

9. White water life vesting is almost as fun as white water rafting lol (we jumped out of the boat and went through one of the rapids with only our life vests and safety hats on)!

10. As we continued on our trail, the side banks of the river revealed that people actually use this river to bathe and wash their clothes in. I realized that we are both blessed in our own way. How beautiful a life to live in this scenery… and I’m learning that a more simple life is just so much better. Yet how blessed am I that I have a washing machine at my apartment in India to wash my clothes for me, and clean water to bathe in.

11. Sri Lankan buffalo look like kind of like American bulls lol.

12. I am blessed beyond measure and my heart is so full of love for God and life and people and all living things that I easily overflow with tears of gratitude on a regular basis. Wait. I didn’t learn that just today, but then again, I did. A part of me dies every day to be reborn to the new me and the new life God has given me… and I often shed tears of immeasurable gratitude for every experience… Even for toilets that flush all over the bathroom floor and leaving my debit card in the ATM… I’m grateful for them all.

For having such a toilet allows me the opportunity to show grace to others the same way losing my debit card has shown me how gracious others are to me.

Thank you, God.

Awake and ready for the day!

Here are some pics of the lake I was able to capture after our trip. Sure wish I could’ve captured the beauty while on the lake but my phone would’ve been ruined lol:

Do Not Be Afraid of Tomorrow: Note From Kandy Road in Western Province

20131126-171712.jpg

Losing your job? Chronic illness? Life not going how you want it to go? Surrender to the divine and open yourself up to the jewels of life!! Getting sick and losing my job were two of the BEST things that ever happened to me!! Had I not gotten sick I’d still be slaving away behind a desk and computer 8, 12, or 18 hours a day. For as long as I fought being sick, I stayed sick. I was so pissed! I wanted to be better & be independent again, dang it!!

That which we resist, persists. Finally, I stopped resisting and realized, God must have me in this position for a reason or two. I stopped fighting it and I surrendered my life to the Divine. “okay God”, I said, “you’ve got me where you want me. Show me why I’m in this mess. What am I not seeing? What do I need to learn? What are you trying to teach me? What do I need to see, to get better?!”

Partly, I learned, that I was brought to a point if surrender so that I could turn back to God. I had nowhere else TO turn. I was so sick, I literally felt like I was dying a slow, torturous death. As soon as I quit fighting it and accepted my situation, things took a drastic turn.

It started to dawn on me (the reasons I was so sick & the things I needed to learn). And then? Slowly, day by day, I started to get better.

Today, I am writing to you from my iPhone on a bus to Dambulla, Sri Lanka to see ancient cities. I’ve been in this country for 3 nights and have spent less than $50. With God, ANYTHING is possible!!! ANYTHING!!!

I used to be a slave to a large corporation.  Now I am traveling the world and every day is a magical adventure. I will never work a 9-5 desk job again. Today, I am SO in love! I am in love with myself. I am in love with my divine. I am in love with life!!  In love with my new career!!  I’ve been asked to teach in two different countries already!

God shows me miracles every single day. I am blessed beyond measure. Yes. I lost my job of nearly 14 years. Yes, I lost my home. It was a hard hit to the ego losing everything I’d spent the past 13 years working for! But you know what?! I was never meant to be a computer programmer.

I only chose that profession because of the money, but my spirit was dead doing that work. I am a people person. I came here in this life to help others. Today I work for God. It’s the best job with the BEST benefits!!! Benefits like traveling the world and meeting the most amazing and interesting people ever!

Benefits like being freely offered a place to stay from random people who are also working for God and living in their Heart Space. It really is true. The more you give, the more you receive.

So… please. Do not be afraid. The Bible says that where ever you go, God goes before you. Do not be afraid of tomorrow. God is already there. What may seem like the worst disaster today may just be the biggest blessing of your entire LIFE!! Give God a chance. If you’re feeling lost, or scared, no matter what your troubles are there is one thing that is certain: God’s got your back. All you gotta do is stop fighting God’s plan for you and surrender to it.

Communicate with your divine… and if things aren’t going YOUR way, then get OUT of the way and ask your divine to show you HIS (or HER or IT’s) way… and open yourself up to all the joy and wonder that is right there, waiting for you to claim!

In Love and Gratitude,
Jodi Ana

Volunteers Needed…

I am writing a series of books and I need a diverse set of volunteers to read my rough drafts, who have the skills to provide feedback from the following viewpoints:

—You are open-minded and have had a “spiritual awakening” (also known as ascension) or have experiences that you do not understand, and can provide input or ask question for clarification in this respect.

—You do not know what a ‘spiritual awakening is’, but you are interested in my story and what I did to get better, and can provide feedback/ask questions from this viewpoint.

Must have the ability to:
* – provide constructive criticism
* – ask question for clarification or offer foresight of questions a future reader may have.
* – Be boldly honest and respectfully say things you think I may not like or that may hurt my feelings.
* – correct grammatical errors

Not everyone will be picked.  If you are interested, please message me.  Thank you and blessed day to you! <3
